Council meeting Updates 2/9/22

Council Meeting Highlights from 2/9/22:

• Council approved dispensing American Rescue Act funds to the fire department to assist with radio purchase once those funds are received.
• Council approved advertising an amendment to the zoning ordinance regulating solar panel installation. Because this is a zoning amendment, council will hold a hearing at 6:30pm on March 9, 2022.
• Council approved advertising a new parking ordinance.
• Council approved advertising a repealer ordinance to remove the old sections of the parking ordinance and the curfew ordinance.
• Council approved a new technology policy for employees.
• Council received notification it has been awarded CDBG grant funding from Westmoreland County for an accessibility project at the borough building and park.
• Council discussed paving projects for summer 2022.
• Council approved a quote to begin roof replacement at the borough garage.
• Council discussed possible solar installation at the borough garage.
