Clean Up Days will take place on October 11th and October 18th, 2022.
Below you will find details on which areas of town are having clean up day on each date. Not all streets are listed, please look for streets near yours. Regular garbage collection will continue in parts of town not listed on each date. Regulations are also listed below. Please follow the regulations. The cost of clean up day has risen DRAMATICALLY due to abuse of this day, to the point where future clean up days may not happen. Again, READ and FOLLOW the regulations below. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 Bridge Street and all streets from Bell Avenue up to and including Giron Street and Edgewood Drive. (Including, but not limited to: South Ave, North Ave, Summit St) Tuesday, October 18, 2022 All streets below Giron Street and Edgewood Drive to First Avenue. (Including, but not limited to: Gosser St, Plazak St, All numbered streets, Jantosik St) Regulations: ***The Final Decision to Accept or Decline Items Lies with the Garbage Collector*** Building Materials will NOT be accepted. (For example: Drywall, shingles, lumber, bricks, concrete block. This is not a complete list.) All Garbage must be properly contained. The garbage collector will NOT pick up loose items or piles of loose items. Dangerous/hazardous materials should NOT be set out for garbage collection. All items within 5 feet of the street will be taken. Tree limbs must be less than 3inches in diameter and 4 feet in length and must be bundled. NO grass clippings. Carpets/Rugs/Padding must be less than 4 ft in length and must be tied into bundles one person can lift. Empty paint cans must have lids removed. ALL refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers must have all Freon professionally removed and certified. One of each appliance/piece of furniture per household (example: 1 couch, 1 chair, 1 washer, 1 dryer, etc…) No boxed items in case of rain. Items MUST BE able to be picked up by 2 people. Items that WILL NOT be taken: Liquid paint, any liquids, hazardous/infectious/toxic materials, construction or demolition materials, grass, dirt, sod, stones, ashes, concrete, tires, excrement, solvents, paint thinners, oil, containers holding liquid gas, paints, or kerosene, car parts or batteries, televisions, computers and computer equipment, items over 5 feet in length or over 75 pounds (except furniture). The final decision to accept/decline items or amounts will be at the discretion of the garbage collector. |
